DailyLit Launches First Reader Survey in Newsletter
June 4th, 2008 Susan
We’ve just sent out a newsletter letting you all know about our latest news, including our first DailyLit Reader Survey, which has only nine questions. For those of you who missed our newsletter, here it is below.
Dear DailyLit Reader,
We’ve just celebrated our first birthday here at DailyLit–and what a birthday it’s been! We’re approaching 1000 titles, have over 25 publishers on board, and our site’s features continue to expand.
Here’s the latest:
-Wikipedia Tours, available for free, allow you to learn about a particular subject in just two minutes a day. We’re featuring such topics as Wine 101; Greek Mythology; and Presidents of the United States. Take the DailyLit route to exploring new topics: one bite at a time.
-Celebrate the sultry days of summer with a free Harlequin romance novel on DailyLit! From now until August 31, SPANISH BILLIONAIRE, INNOCENT WIFE–written by one of Harlequin’s most popular authors, Kate Walker–is available for free from DailyLit. Whether you’re a dedicated romance reader or a first-timer, we hope you’ll enjoy this free taste of love and lust all summer long.
-Acclaimed management guru Tom Peters is now on DailyLit: 100 WAYS TO SUCCEED/MAKE MONEY is now available for free and gives you a tip each day–phrased in Peters’ singularly irreverent voice–to help you be your best in business and in life.
-We’re excited to announce group reading via Twitter. Starting June 16th, Cory Doctorow’s DOWN AND OUT IN THE MAGIC KINGDOM; Tom Peters’ 100 WAYS TO SUCCEED/MAKE MONEY; and Jane Austen’s PRIDE AND PREJUDICE will be delivered for free in installments via short text messages and links using Twitter. Don’t know a tweet from a cheep? Click here for more information, and let the countdown begin!
-We’ve also recently launched our first book ever that was available via DailyLit prior to its hardcover release. Check out the political thriller, HOUSE RULES, by Mike Lawson.
-We’re delighted to announce that we’ve welcomed Bill Seitz to the DailyLit team as Chief Technology Officer. His expertise will drive our development of technical initiatives and expand the innovative ways in which you can interact with DailyLit.
-DailyLit is getting a makeover! Our e-mails will soon be looking prettier with the launch of HTML which will allow us to feature images and designs. You’ll also be able to adjust the size of the text for easier reading.
-We’d like to know: how do you DailyLit? We’ve launched our first DailyLit Reader Survey, and we hope you’ll head over and let your voice be heard.
Thanks for reading with DailyLit. We hope you’ll help make our second year as successful–and fun!–as the first.
