Book Roll Please

If you have a blog you can now show others what you are reading on DailyLit. First you need to register. Once you are logged in click on “Home” and under the Manage heading you will see a link to Add a book roll to your blog. On that page you can pick a few options and then all you have to do is copy the code and paste it into your blog template. You can see an example of the blog roll in action on the right.

Roses are Red, …

We have added a lot of poetry including works by Thomas Hardy, William Blake, Christina Rosetti, Edna St. Vincent Millay and others. But that’s not all. In total there are over 70 new amazing books on DailyLit. Enjoy!

P.S. We have also approached several of the authors and/or publishers for titles that have been requested.

You Have Certified Mail

Sender Score Certified MemberHappy to announce that we are now a member of Return Path’s Sender Score Certified Program. What does this mean for you? If your ISP/email provider checks, then it means DailyLit messages are less likely to be mistaken for spam. If you are having trouble with DailyLit emails occasionally not coming through you may want to suggest to your ISP/email provider to participate in this program (it’s free for them!).

Popular Commons

We have had a lot of requests for books available under various Creative Commons licenses. Happy to report that we have just released support for this by adding a link to the correct license at the beginning of each email. Our first title is Down and Out in the Magic Kingdom by Cory Doctorow and we will be adding more titles shortly. Please post suggestions in the book request forum.

Vacation Diggs

So much for thinking that the holidays would be a slow time. DailyLit hit the top of digg’s front page on December 31st. We were on the ski slopes and blissfully unaware of the surge in traffic. Makes for a very happy new year.

Not-So-Hotmail (the Sequel)

Dailylit emails are again being blocked by Hotmail and MSN. We are working on having them unblocked. In the meantime we apologize to our Hotmail and MSN subscribers for the inconvenience.
